Qualified Social Worker - Adults Locality Team

We are looking to recruit a Qualified Social Worker - Adults Locality Team with the Social Care industry in Gloucestershire County Council. The Qualified Social Worker - Adults Locality Team vacancy in Gloucestershire County Council will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Mentoring newly qualified social workers
  • Liaising with other professionals
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Holding complex cases
  • Carrying out initial safeguarding enquiries and s42 enquiries
  • Providing advice to the public, partner agencies and regulated care providers in relation to safeguarding concerns
  • Completing home visits and safeguarding assessments and reports
  • Working with people at risk, and people who have caused harm
  • Attending multidisciplinary meetings
  • Completing referrals to relevant agencies for support

Experience preferred:

  • Post qualifying experience of working within an Adults Locality Team or Safeguarding Team.

The Team:

  • Well-structured organised team, growing their social worker staffing levels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HCPC Registration
  • 3 year post qualifying experience within UK Social Care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
