Join our dedicated team in Gloucestershire and contribute to a service committed to delivering outstanding support to children and their families. We are looking for both Social Workers and Senior Social Workers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, ensuring their safety and improving their outcomes.
Day-to-Day of the Role:- Work closely with children, young people, and their families to assess needs and plan multi-agency interventions to meet these needs and review outcomes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues within the service and partner agencies to ensure comprehensive support and protection for children and young people in need and at risk.
- Carry a caseload of children and families, adjusting the complexity and number of cases in line with your experience and the needs of the service.
- Undertake direct work with children and families to manage risk and achieve positive, sustained outcomes.
- Prepare high-quality reports and statements for meetings, legal proceedings, and other professional settings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- A recognised qualification in Social Work.
- Successful completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel as needed.
- DBS clearance.
- Significant experience in working with children, young people, and families, particularly in a social care setting.
- Strong understanding of child protection and statutory childcare.
- Excellent assessment and risk management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Competitive salary scale with progression for Social Workers (£37,938 - £39,513) and Senior Social Workers (£40,476 - £45,718) based on experience.
- Welcome payment of £4,000 and annual retention payment of £2,000.
