Join our dedicated team in Gloucestershire and contribute to a service committed to delivering outstanding support to children and their families. We are looking for both Social Workers and Senior Social Workers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, ensuring their safety and improving their outcomes.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Work closely with children, young people, and their families to assess needs and plan multi-agency interventions to meet these needs and review outcomes.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues within the service and partner agencies to ensure comprehensive support and protection for children and young people in need and at risk.
  • Carry a caseload of children and families, adjusting the complexity and number of cases in line with your experience and the needs of the service.
  • Undertake direct work with children and families to manage risk and achieve positive, sustained outcomes.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and statements for meetings, legal proceedings, and other professional settings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • A recognised qualification in Social Work.
  • Successful completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel as needed.
  • DBS clearance.
  • Significant experience in working with children, young people, and families, particularly in a social care setting.
  • Strong understanding of child protection and statutory childcare.
  • Excellent assessment and risk management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
