Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Manage a caseload of children who may have plans for adoption, special guardianship, long-term fostering, or returning home to family.
  • Act as a corporate parent: undertake direct work, get to know the children and their families, and ensure they have access to excellent health, education, and stable homes.
  • Advocate for the children, supporting them and their surrounding network, including foster carers and family, to ensure better lifelong outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the service and partner agencies to deliver a first-class service and ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Recognised qualification in Social Work.
  • Must have passed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) if qualified after 2012.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • DBS clearance.
  • Experience as a frontline social worker, with a strong focus on children’s welfare.
