Join Gloucestershire County Council in a vital role within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We are seeking an experienced Social Workers to enhance our team, dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in Gloucestershire.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work closely with children, young people, and their families, as well as other staff within the service function and partner agencies, to provide support and protection.
  • Promote a range of services which carry out statutory duties as required by legislation and guidance.
  • Assess the needs of children, young people, and families to plan and implement suitable multi-agency interventions and service provisions to meet needs and review outcomes.
  • Build positive relationships through direct work to ensure that the voices, wishes, and feelings of children and their families are heard.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for relevant meetings and present them to a variety of other professionals.
  • Update and maintain high-quality case files on LiquidLogic, ensuring all key information about the child’s circumstances and plans are recorded within timescales.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Recognised qualification in Social Work.
  • Passed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
  • Significant experience of working with children, young people, and families in a social care setting.
  • Experience of child protection and statutory childcare.
  • Knowledge of all relevant legislation and guidance.
  • Effective assessment skills relating to work with children and families.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • DBS clearance.
