Our Client, Gloucestershire Council, is seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join their Childrens Fostering Team

Responsibilities of this role:

  • We require an agency Social Worker who has experience in fostering to join the Kinship Support Team. The role includes supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide the best quality care to meet the needs of vulnerable children as set out in their care plan.
  • Safeguarding is our priority, and we ensure that households comply with the National Minimum Standards for fostering. We supervise 190 fostering households in the team, run support groups and support with foster carer training.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to fit into this busy but welcoming team, undertake annual reviews, hold a caseload, and help with identifying placements for children.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years’ post qualified experience.
