Our Client, Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Children’s Team Manager to join the MASH Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • We are looking for an experienced Team Manager to join our Front Door Services which includes our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The Front Door Service receive all new contacts when there is a concern that a child could be at risk.

  • As a Team Manager, we’ll ask you to lead and support a team of social workers to deliver services of the highest quality. Ensuring statutory duties and best practice is followed, you’ll develop a team plan in line with Children’s Services strategic objectives and provide management oversight on all cases with a clear understanding of risk.

  • Your role will focus on managing the team’s workflow and quality assuring work through observations, reflective supervision and GCC’s quality assurance framework, as well as contributing towards the development of the framework itself.

  • Through building positive relationships with colleagues within both the service and partner agencies, you will ensure we are able to provide support and protection for vulnerable children and young people across the County.

  • Hybrid working arrangements are available and should be discussed at interview but will depend on service needs. Initially we would induct being office based for training purposes.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 2 years’ post qualified experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
