Accommodation or mileage support up to £150 per week (Terms & Conditions apply).Role OverviewPertemps are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join Glucestershire’s dynamic Children & Families Team in Cheltenham. The role involves holding a manageable caseload of approximately 18 children and delivering evidence-based interventions with a focus on timeliness and positive outcomes for children and families.This role requires a mix of Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC) cases, including some court work. The successful candidate will join a supportive team committed to providing high-quality services for children, young people, and their families.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a varied caseload of CIN, CP, and CIC cases, including court proceedings as required.
  • Conduct timely assessments and interventions that are evidence-based and outcome-focused.
  • Ensure children and families receive effective, needs-led support that maximises safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with statutory guidelines and council policies.
  • Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Conduct face-to-face visits with children
Work Arrangements: Flexible working arrangements are available, balancing team needs and personal life. Hybrid working model: 3 days per week in the office, with the possibility of home working for the remaining days.Requirements:
  • Social Work England registered.
  • Proven experience in managing a mixed caseload, including CIN, CP, and CIC cases.
  • Experience in court work and report writing.
  • Strong assessment, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families, and professional networks.
