- Provide targeted support to those most in need including, young offenders, NEET young people, care leavers, young people who are homeless, missing young people and young people with emotional, mental health and alcohol and substance misuse issues
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of young people using an appropriate assessment process
- Lead in the development and implementation of agreed intervention plans
- Undertake regular reviews of intervention plans and identify progress
- Design, manage and deliver interventions to young people (1:1 and groupwork), their peers and families in the home, community and educational settings including co-ordinating allocated staff, e.g. Programme Officers to ensure effective programme delivery
- Work with a range of partners to deliver effective services
- Keep and maintain accurate records of work
- Attend meetings and reviews where necessary
- A full driving licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
- Graduate or equivalent professional qualification e.g. criminal justice, social care, probation
- At least 2 years practice experience of working with vulnerable children and young people within a youth justice setting
- Recent experience of managing a caseload of children and young people- undertaking assessments of risk and need, developing plans, and delivering interventions that effect positive change and manage risk
- Knowledge and experience of managing out of court disposals and statutory court orders
- Enhanced DBS registered to the update service
