Venn GroupDevOps Engineer DV UKIC Clearance Hybrid – Southwest Up to £70,000 (Depending on experience)
Venn Group are supporting a client with recruiting a DevOps Engineer to join them on a permanent basis (contractors will also be considered for this position – Inside IR35)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full lifecycle of product components and systems
- Take part in technical discussions with teams as well as support with delivery management and technical leads in their engagement with customers
- Use a mixture of technical investigation, rapid prototyping, software design and other techniques to find solutions to engineering problems
- Engage with customers, including security and policy to ensure that risks are managed
- Make and collaborate on technological and architectural design
- Mentoring and training of other engineers, being an SME on technologies, techniques or problems
Experience & Skills Required:
- Extensive experience of administration of Linux and Windows Operating Systems within large corporate environments
- Hands-on experience with Bash, PowerShell or Python
- Experience of administering Virtualised or Containerised systems in VMWare or Docker
- Extensive experience with CI/CD (Cloud native or Jenkins, Concourse), Docker/Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, OpenShift (PaaS)
- Proven experience of designing, deploying, and administering Linux or Unix bases solutions using virtualisations techniques
- Must be a motivated individual ready to hit the ground running to support the team
