Venn GroupDevOps Engineer DV UKIC Clearance Hybrid – Southwest Up to £70,000 (Depending on experience)

Venn Group are supporting a client with recruiting a DevOps Engineer to join them on a permanent basis (contractors will also be considered for this position – Inside IR35)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the full lifecycle of product components and systems
  • Take part in technical discussions with teams as well as support with delivery management and technical leads in their engagement with customers
  • Use a mixture of technical investigation, rapid prototyping, software design and other techniques to find solutions to engineering problems
  • Engage with customers, including security and policy to ensure that risks are managed
  • Make and collaborate on technological and architectural design
  • Mentoring and training of other engineers, being an SME on technologies, techniques or problems

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience of administration of Linux and Windows Operating Systems within large corporate environments
  • Hands-on experience with Bash, PowerShell or Python
  • Experience of administering Virtualised or Containerised systems in VMWare or Docker
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD (Cloud native or Jenkins, Concourse), Docker/Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, OpenShift (PaaS)
  • Proven experience of designing, deploying, and administering Linux or Unix bases solutions using virtualisations techniques
  • Must be a motivated individual ready to hit the ground running to support the team

Due to the nature of work in this position, you must hold an active DV UKIC Clearance to be put forward to this position.
