Position Available: Systems Engineer (Mission Planning)
Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 + Bonus
Experience needed: We are looking for a systems engineer with experience across the full systems lifecycle who is experienced in requirements capture and configuration management. Understanding of mission planning principles would be an advantage.
About the role:
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join a dynamic, international team developing Mission Planning products for key domestic and export customers. You will be working in a collaborative environment, contributing to the full systems lifecycle, from requirements capture to verification and certification. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside UK and French Systems and Software teams, as well as other stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of a robust, high-quality system.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be conducting systems design activities for mission planning products.
- You will provide key inputs to requirements capture, design freezes, system integration and testing through to full product verification and certification.
- You will work closely with UK and French Systems and Software teams, as well as other parties to enable robust design and system validation.
What we need from you:
- Systems Engineering expertise, with experience covering the full development lifecycle
- Strong understanding of requirements capture and configuration management (e.g., DOORS)
- Experience working in a complex engineering or manufacturing environment (e.g., defence, aerospace, automotive)
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Understanding of mission planning principles (beneficial but not essential)
