Sales Representative

Location: Gloucestershire, Southwest (3 days in office)

Salary - Basic £30,000 - £35,000 plus commission package

Are you enthusiastic about establishing new business relationships? Would you like to participate in the Renewable Energy sector?

The renewable energy industry is now experiencing significant growth across all sectors and technologies. As a consequence of increasing energy prices, decreasing panel prices and the requirement to de-carbonise energy production, the demand for new solar PV installation is growing at the highest rate since Government incentive schemes came to an end.

MDE is partnered with a leading engineering firm with over a decade of experience in the UK solar industry, the company has a proven track record of engineering, procuring, construction managing and maintaining large-scale rooftop solar PV asset portfolios.

What you'll do

Sales and Customer Satisfaction

  • Oversee all sales activities and customer satisfaction related to preventive and reactive maintenance for rooftop solar installations.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand revenue streams.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, including staff management, lead generation, and marketing.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Commercial Director to shape product offerings and pricing.

Sales Execution

  • Support your team in delivering proposals, pitches, and closing deals.
  • Ensure successful project delivery by coordinating with the Operations department.
  • Manage internal relationships to enhance delivery and client satisfaction.

General Responsibilities

  • Participate in staff meetings to maintain strong internal communications.
  • Manage relationships with third-party clients as needed.
  • Support the Directors with other sales and business development activities.

Technical Knowledge and Skills 

  • Basic understanding of solar PV technology and industry trends. (Desireable)
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Strong management skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
