The Role
As a Theatre Anaesthetic Practitioner, you will work alongside skilled surgeons, theatre nurses, and operating department practitioners to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout their surgical journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and supporting patients before, during, and after anaesthetic procedures.
- Assisting anaesthetists in the delivery of general, regional, and local anaesthesia.
- Monitoring patients during surgery and responding promptly to any changes in their condition.
- Maintaining accurate records and adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Contributing to the development of best practices and participating in continuous professional development opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or Registered Nurse (RN) with anaesthetic qualification.
- Current registration with the HCPC or NMC.
- Proven experience in anaesthetic support within a theatre environment.
- Strong communication and teamworking skills.
- A patient-centred approach with a commitment to high standards of care.
