We are seeking to appoint a qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN teaching assistant to support pupils with additional needs.The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualification. NVQ Level 3 or above would be desirable.
  • Experience of working with children with additional needs.
  • An understanding of EHCPs and My Plans, and how to tailor provision to meet these targets.
  • An understanding of the national curriculum requirements for the relevant Key Stage and year groups.
  • Strong and positive behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to form safe, secure, and supportive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Understanding of how multi-agency working can be used to support the pupils in our school.

Key Duties

  1. Supporting teachers in the implementation of specific interventions.
  2. Contributing to and reviewing pupil progress daily, termly, and annually.
  3. Attending annual reviews.
  4. Meeting parents where required.
  5. Attending staff meetings and training where required.
