Have you got the ability to be attuned to a pupil's needs? Do you enjoy the challenge and reward of working with children with special educational needs? We are seeking to appoint a qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN teaching assistant to support pupils with additional needs.The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant qualification. NVQ Level 3 or above would be desirable.
- Experience of working with children with additional needs.
- An understanding of EHCPs and My Plans, and how to tailor provision to meet these targets.
- An understanding of the national curriculum requirements for the relevant Key Stage and year groups.
- Strong and positive behaviour management skills.
- The ability to form safe, secure, and supportive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Understanding of how multi-agency working can be used to support the pupils in our school.
Key Duties
- Supporting teachers in the implementation of specific interventions.
- Contributing to and reviewing pupil progress daily, termly, and annually.
- Attending annual reviews.
- Meeting parents where required.
- Attending staff meetings and training where required.
