We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive school in Yate, South Gloucestershire, to recruit a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to start as soon as possible.

The Role:As an Autism Support Assistant, you will join a caring and experienced team, supporting students with autism in achieving their potential. You'll play a key role in creating a nurturing classroom atmosphere and providing consistent support through:

  • Creating and maintaining a structured, positive learning environment
  • Delivering engaging, tailored activities
  • Supporting students in line with individual care plans
  • Offering one-to-one and small group support
  • Assisting in the development of social and emotional skills
  • Helping manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
  • Encouraging participation in class and school life
