SEN Teaching Assistant - Gloucester

We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to become part of a supportive and dynamic school in Gloucester. About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children with a range of learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties. Working closely with class teachers and SEN specialists, you will provide tailored support to help students access the curriculum and develop key skills in a mainstream classroom.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with SEN in their learning, ensuring they feel engaged and included in all classroom activities.
  • Implement personalised strategies to support academic progress and social development.
  • Work alongside teachers and SEN coordinators to adapt lesson materials and provide targeted interventions.
  • Encourage independence and confidence in children by fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management in line with school policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and liaise with staff and parents to ensure effective communication.
