Special Educational Needs Learning Partners

Initial Education are working with a range of schools (mainstream and specialist) in and around the Gloucester area who cater for children from age 5 to 16 who have a variety of Special needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD and challenging behaviour.

We are seeking those who want both full and part time work and either long-term or short-term assignments.

The role will require the following responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with a range of SEN
  • Providing students with personal care assistance (rare occasions)
  • Managing challenging behaviour
  • Recording studentsā€™ progress and feeding back to the teacher
  • Working one to one or within small groups with some students

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in dealing with children with additional needs (advantageous)
  • Good knowledge of SEN
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Has a clear and valid Enhanced DBS
