Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Nurture Teacher to start immediately on a temp contract . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of a variety of SEND needs, including complex needs and Autism, and will be adept at creating a bespoke curriculum to meet the diverse learning requirements of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized lessons and activities tailored to the specific needs and abilities of students with SEND, ensuring differentiation and accessibility for all learners.
- Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage students with Autism and foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate closely with other educators, support staff, and external professionals to develop comprehensive support plans and interventions for students with complex needs.
- Monitor student progress closely, regularly assessing learning outcomes and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly to maximize academic achievement and personal development.
- Foster strong relationships with students, providing pastoral support and guidance as needed to promote social and emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour, and actively participate in review meetings and parent/carer consultations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (QTLS).
- Comprehensive understanding of a variety of SEND needs, including complex and Autism, and the ability to adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and activities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for inclusive education.
