Reed Education Bristol are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher for a full time, permanent position within a Specialist School located within the heart of Gloucester, supporting young people aged 11-16.

The school caters for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health, providing an ambitious and supportive curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4. The pupils secondary needs can include Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and or Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN), severe trauma, attachment disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). They offer a broad and balanced learning journey for pupils offering first-class facilities and resources, providing the opportunity to achieve to their full potential.

As the Class Teacher, you will:

  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities

The salary for this position is currently set at M1-UPS3 (£31,650 to £49,084 per annum), plus SEN allowance SEN1 (£2,679). This role is set to start as soon as possible on a permanent, full-time basis.
