SEN Cover Teacher
- Special schools
- 8:30am - 3:15pm
- Full-time or part-time
- SEMH & SEND students
- Ages 4-19
- Leading pre-planned cover
We work on behalf of a number of special schools in Gloucester, Cheltenham and the surrounding areas. These schools have recently had a lot more of a need for specialist teachers that are able to provide cover.
The schools will be a variety of different types of schools, so they will be split between more SEMHfocused schools and more general SEND schools (SLD, MLD, PMLD, Complex Needs). The schools are open to applications from full-time or part-time teachers - so there is a great amount of flexibility within this role.
The role
The role of SEN Cover Teacher is focused on leading pre-planned cover in whichever class across the school needs the support. You really become the schools all rounder, providing cover wherever the schools need!
Naturally, you will need to be flexible and easily able to adapt to different classroom environments. No planning or marking is required so the entire focus will be on how you can manage classes and behaviour within the classes. Experience teaching in schools is essential but the school are open to applications from unqualified teachers who have fantastic SEN experience.
