Test Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Cheltenham
Salary: DOE
Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week

Are you passionate about testing and looking to develop your career in a hands-on engineering role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Support Engineer.

This role is ideal for someone with testing experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys problem-solving.

Important Note: This is not an IT role. The focus is on testing engineering, and hardware product development.

The Role

As a Test Support Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient testing facilities and processes while supporting customer-focused projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting technical customer support, liaising directly with customers, and performing product testing.
  • Collaborating on inter-group projects, including NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Current Product Improvement).
  • Developing and improving test facilities and procedures to meet high standards.
  • Supporting audits, test plans, and product resourcing for project success.
  • Coordinating external certification and accreditation of hardware products.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety standards and maintaining an organized workspace.

About You

We are looking for a proactive individual with an inquisitive and investigative mindset. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a testing-related role or within the window manufacturing industry.
  • Hands-on engineering skills, with competency in power tools and a practical approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities.
