Experienced FLT Bendi/Counterbalance Operative

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled FLT -Bendi/Counterbalance Drivers (with in date license) to join our teams in both Tewkesbury and Cheltenham!
The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently in the Warehouse, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling, warehouse operations, and the ability to perform basic mechanical tasks.
Duties
. Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
. Utilise forklift equipment for moving heavy items within the warehouse
. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and shipments using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of orders.
. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation.
. Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimise workflow and efficiency.
Experience
. Previous experience in a FLT driving role, particularly within a warehouse or logistics environment, is preferred.
. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment, including forklifts.
. Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
. Strong mathematical skills for accurate record keeping and inventory management.
. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
Hours and Pay
. Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30 and Saturday 07:30 to 12:00.
. 12.60/hour.
. This is a temporary to permanent position and a permanent contract will be offered after a successful trial period.
