Children's Social Worker / Senior Social Worker - Family Safeguarding | £45k-£55k p/a | Holden Knight Healthcare

Holden Knight Healthcare is delighted to partner with a local council to recruit a Children's Social Worker or Senior Social Worker to join their Family Safeguarding team. Role Overview:

As a Children's Social Worker or Senior Social Worker within the Family Safeguarding team, you will work to support vulnerable children and families, aiming to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for every child. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to offer holistic and effective interventions, working to prevent harm and improve family dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage cases involving vulnerable children and their families.
  • Develop care plans and interventions to safeguard children at risk.
  • Work closely with families, schools, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to ensure a joined-up approach to child welfare.
  • Support and advise families to make informed decisions and positive changes.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior social workers if applying for a Senior Social Worker role.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration (HCPC or Social Work England).
  • Proven experience in children’s social care, particularly in family safeguarding.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and intervention skills.
  • A commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families.
  • Experience in managing complex cases for Senior Social Worker applicants.
