Milk Education Surrey is looking to recruit an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher to work alongside some of the brilliant schools we work with in Godalming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other teaching staff to create tailored learning plans and strategies.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with various learning difficulties, including but not limited to dyslexia, autism, and ADHD.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with external professionals (e.g., educational psychologists, speech therapists) to ensure the best outcomes for students.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience in special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEN provisions and a passion for inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Experience with creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) is desirable.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
