Pastoral/Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral/Behaviour Support Assistant to join our behaviour unit. This role is crucial in supervising students who are temporarily placed in the unit instead of mainstream lessons. The successful candidate will monitor the completion of work set by class teachers and ensure effective behaviour management.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Supervise students within the behaviour unit, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Monitor and support the completion of assignments provided by class teachers.
  • Liaise with teachers to obtain necessary coursework and materials in a timely manner.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively, maintaining discipline within the unit.
  • Depending on qualifications and experience, the role may involve working with students at KS3 or KS4.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
