My client, a well-established main contractor specialising in care home construction, is currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis in the South East of England. This role offers a large scope for career progression and personal development.
Site Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all on-site activities, including subcontractor management and resource allocation.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections to uphold safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, mitigate risks and implement effective solutions to keep the project on schedule.
- Foster strong communication channels with project stakeholders, addressing any concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and safety records.
Site Manager Requirements:
- Proven track record as a Site Manager, ideally in care homes and retirement villages
- Good understanding of the full construction process from pre-planning to completion
- Excellent communication skills and strong leadership skills
- Up to date with Health and Safety best practice and regulations as well as quality control processes
