Are you an experienced Supervisor or Lead technician from a Service or Maintenance Engineering background? Do you have experience of leading teams of engineers on site and in remote locations?

On offer is a Lead Technician role with a large global wind turbine company where you will manage the teams on site based at Golspie & Lairg in the Highlands of Scotland. Ideally you will be local or within 1hrs drive of the site and flexible to drive to inverness regularly.

Previous experience on wind turbines isn't necessary, however a strong engineering and technical background, a keen interest to learn and previous team supervisory or lead technician experience is required. This company will put you though all the necessary training on wind turbines as well as H&S tickets.

You will need to be physically fit for this position and be able to pass a working at height medical inclusive of a Chester step test and drugs and alcohol test.

  • Responsible for site planning, availability and performance of wind farms in the area
  • Planning and coordination of on site activities, H&S review and conducting toolbox talks and inductions for any subcontractors
  • Working at heights, planned & reactive maintenance on wind turbine generators
  • £41,000 - £43,000 +Overtime + On call bonus +Training + Bonus+ 33 days holiday

The Person:

  • Qualified Engineer (C&G level 3 or above)
  • Service engineer or similar with a good range of technical skills
  • Previous team supervisory or lead technician experience
  • Strong team management experience
  • Full UK DL, Physically Fit, happy to work at heights.
