This large well-known manufacturing business are recruiting for an Site Accountant based in their site in Rawcliffe, Goole.

Description

  • You will play a key part in the site management team reporting into the Group Head of Finance,
  • Full responsibility for providing accurate and timely monthly management accounts to the site team, both P&L, balance sheets, journals, cash flow etc.
  • Demonstrate strong financial control, adhering to accounting regulations and group policy, and ensuring all accounting represents a true and fair view of the site performance.
  • Take the lead on investigating variances in performance versus expectation, particularly on costs, and provide visibility and insight to site-based stakeholders.
  • Act as a business partner to the site finance team, supporting with their weekly P&L, providing insight on stock, labour costs and purchases.
  • Act as a key point of contact with external auditors.
  • Opportunity to simplify and speed up current period end processes, increasing efficiency and saving time to allow for more value-adding analytical work.
  • Play a vital role in the wider Manufacturing Finance team to drive growth, Managing & mentoring the site Accounts Assistant.

Profile

  • Fully qualified Accountant through either CIMA, ACA or ACCA, or qualified by experience.
  • Ideally have experience working as an Accountant for a manufacturing business
  • Previous experience with SAP B1 knowledge preferred and ideally knowledge of ERP Systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the business. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.

Job Offer

  • Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
  • Current shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9.00 - 5.00
