Randstad Enterprise, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently seeking a materials controller for their rails stock division based in Goole

Overview

Due to an increase in workload, the team are looking to add a temporary materials controller to support the 2 materials controllers already on the team

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule and monitor the ordering of materials through the  production cycle; prioritises schedules, customer orders or requisitions to determine items to be  procured. 

  • Provide clerical support to purchasing and materials management in data entry, filing, coordinating paper flow. 

  • Checking stock levels when picking out items and highlighting as discrepancies

  • Communicating with purchasing regarding shipping requirements; responds to inquiries relating to packing lists and shipping instruction. 

  • Compiling and maintaining records such as time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials received or shipped; inputs data into shipping and/or purchasing systems. 

  • Provide inventory control and order book management for the Rail Systems service business. 

  • This role is responsible for providing materials availability for projects and fleets. 

What we’re looking for:

  • A good understanding of best practice procurement and buying processes

  • Experienced in stock control and inventory management 

  • Knowledge of materials, stores management procedures and warranty processes 

  • Good organisational skills 

  • Experience working with SAP would be an advantage
