Atrium Healthcare is seeking a cook with previous experience within a care home setting to support our client based in Goole. The ideal candidate will have a drive and passion cooking nutritious and delicious meals for our clients' residents as well as leading a small kitchen team. We believe that great food is an essential part of residents' well-being, and as a cook you will play a vital role in ensuring they receive nutritious, appetising meals whilst meeting varying dietary requirements of residents.

The job role will entail the following tasks:
路Complete a food shop. (Site will confirm if needed)
路Planning a weekly hot food menu, to include a vegetarian/vegan option (must ask service users for opinions on meals they enjoy)
路Preparing delicious, high-quality food
路Listening and acting on feedback
路Kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
路Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations


The ideal candidate will have the following:

路Proven experience as a Cook in a similar setting (preferably in a care home, hospital, or senior living facility).
路Knowledge of nutrition and special dietary requirements for the elderly.
路Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
路Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
路Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of the residents.
路Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays, as needed.
路Relevant culinary qualifications are a plus but not mandatory.
