About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable EYFS Teaching Assistants to join our supply team, supporting Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils across various primary schools in Goole. This flexible role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nurturing and engaging support to EYFS pupils, helping to create a positive learning environment.
  • Assist teachers in delivering creative and structured lessons aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Support children's development in literacy, numeracy, social skills, and motor skills through play-based learning.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and independence, following school policies and the EYFS ethos.
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils, adapting support to meet their needs.
  • Help with classroom setup, organisation, and resource management.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and engagement.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in an EYFS setting is essential.
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not required.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development milestones.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Adaptability and confidence to work in different school settings.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Availability to work flexibly across multiple schools.
