Elevation Senior Finance are pleased to be recruiting for a well renowned and respected manufacturing and distribution business near Goole as they look to bring in a Qualified/ Part Qualified Accountant to join them as a Finance Business Partner for their Supply Operations department. The role offers a good blend of offers a blend of office and home working for the successful candidate. Reporting to the Manufacturing Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the manufacturing finance team, supporting their fast-moving and changing manufacturing environment.

This will be a varied and challenging role, with duties to include: - 

  • Business Partner with Site Manager and Operations Managers; proactively highlighting any budget risks or opportunities
  • Responsibility for the manufacturing cost centres - complete period end journals to ensure the P&L is accurate
  • Act as the key contact and support for the managers by providing accurate, timely, user- friendly reporting and ad-hoc analysis
  • Review, analyse and issue weekly flash reports for labour and material usage for the manufacturing site
  • Prepare operational budgets & forecasts for manufacturing cost centres, with detailed explanation of key drivers
  • Product costing including the preparation of cost estimates, as well as maintaining the standard product costs within SAP
  • Providing training to ensure financial awareness on the manufacturing sites
  • Taking an active role in project work to support business decisions engaging with stakeholders across the manufacturing function

You will be an experienced and confident business partner, who will build credible working relationships with Site Management, Operations Managers and Maintenance and Engineering teams to problem solve and find solutions. The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experiences: - 

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified (or actively studying)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver the narrative and communicate with finance and non-finance colleagues
  • An exceptional relationship builder, with strong stakeholder engagement capability
  • Strong Excel and IT skills
