About Our Client:

Our client is a leading organisation in the logistics industry. With a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, our client prides themselves on delivering high-quality service. They are currently seeking dedicated Warehouse Operatives to join their team.

Responsibilities:

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for:

  • Picking and packing products, building kits, and delivering them to the production line as required
  • Using appropriate material handling equipment (MHE) to offload incoming goods safely
  • Following standard operating procedures and safe systems of work at all times
  • Recording incoming goods into the system, ensuring attention to detail and meeting quality inspection requirements
  • Ensuring accurate 'put-away' of goods into the appropriate storage locations in the warehouse
  • Picking goods to the correct quantity and specification as requested by the production line
  • Performing stock counts as required, ensuring stock integrity is maintained
  • Packing goods into appropriate shipment packaging and confirming via barcode scanning
  • Dispatching goods on time to the production line, ensuring confirmation of receipt is received
  • Working efficiently and in line with organisational norms
  • Prioritising health, safety, and environmental practises at all times
  • Participating in the company's improvement programme and driving implementation of improvements from the team
  • Exhibiting the company's behaviours and complying with compliance policies
  • Monitoring compliance with internal control procedures and taking appropriate corrective action
  • Adapting to changes in responsibilities based on business needs

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar role
  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
  • Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Health and safety awareness

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Experience using barcode scanning systems
