We are now looking to recruit an experienced Stores Controller to join our team in Pollington!

As the Stores Controller you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the stores department.

You will be managing inventory, ordering supplies, receiving and inspecting deliveries and organising the storage area!

In addition to this, as our Stores Controller you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing a system to track stock levels, ensuring inventory is maintained.
  • Utilising inventory monitoring tools to track stock levels and set reorder thresholds that prevent stock-outs and reduce the carrying cost of excess inventory.
  • Conducting regular and thorough inventory audits (Aiming for above 95% inventory accuracy).
  • Designing an efficient storage layout to maximise space and allow quick and organised access to materials.
  • Developing a systematic approach for placing orders, taking into account supplier lead times, budget constraints, and projected demand to maintain a balanced flow of supplies.
  • Maintaining a meticulous record-keeping system for inventory transactions and supplier data, ensuring information is up-to-date, accurate, and easily retrievable for analysis.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Higher education qualification is preferred (e.g. HND, HNC, NVQ A level, CIPS Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in an engineering or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of engineering materials equipment and procurement processes.

  • Forklift licence (e.g. B1 & D1)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, MS Word and Excel.
  • Health & Safety Certification (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH) is desirable.
