The Company

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering specialist that provides servicing, repairs, and maintenance for heavy machinery, driveline systems, and industrial equipment. They are looking for a skilled Mobile Heavy Machinery Engineer to join their team, working both in the workshop and travelling across the UK and internationally to service specialist equipment.

The Role

This is a hands-on engineering position where you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing drivetrain systems, including engines, flywheels, propellers, drive trains, gears, and fluid couplings. You will split your time between workshop-based repairs and on-site servicing, ensuring equipment remains fully operational.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, and overhaul drivetrain and mechanical systems (engines, transmissions, gears, and fluid couplings).
  • Work both in the workshop and on-site, with UK and global travel as required.
  • Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty machinery.
  • Ensure all work meets high industry and safety standards.
  • Provide technical support and liaise with customers on-site.

  • Time-served engineer with experience in heavy plant, marine, HGV, or similar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of driveline systems, transmissions, and mechanical components.
  • Hardworking, problem-solving, and flexible to travel for work.
