As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician you will report into the Engineering Team Leader. You will be contribute as part of the maintenance team in ensuring the smooth running of the site.

Description

To contribute as part of the maintenance team in ensuring the smooth running of the site. To attend to any break downs and repair to the best of your ability. To carry out scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and maintain the building and services. To implement continuous improvements and Capital installations.

  • Promote excellent standards of Health and Safety, Housekeeping, Hygiene and Quality at all times.
  • Attend and rectify any site breakdown in prompt manner.
  • Assist in the Corrugator production process start-up, one hour prior to the commencement of morning shift, on a roistered basis.
  • To assist the Production Team in facilitating PMI/ TPM/ 5S/ Lean manufacturing and to promote standards including BRC, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
  • Follow up and ensure completion of any task/defects are to a high standard.
  • Identify and ordering of replacement parts for site production and ancillary equipment.
  • Maintain, Agility log and complete all work activity reports, including defect sheet and process confirmation sheets accurately.
  • Carry out and support the development of the planned maintenance system.
  • Ensure sufficient and detailed handover processes take place between shifts.
  • Undertake any project / installation work where required.
  • Report any dangerous occurrences or unsafe machine conditions.

Profile

  • Will have experience of working in a maintenance position in a FMCG environment.
  • Time served apprenticeship with an BTEC Level 3 (ONC) minimum (or equivalent
  • A sound electrical or mechanical knowledge, with experience in a FMCG plant.
  • Computer literate and comfortable with basic Microsoft office packages.
  • Excellent communication skill and a team player.

Job Offer

  • Salary of £41,646 plus overtime available paid at 1.5%
  • Working shift pattern is double days 0600-1400 / 1400-2200. Every 4th Saturday roistered in 6 hours OT + holiday cover
  • Generous production bonus paid monthly or yearly after the probation period (£3.5k in 2023).
