Your new roleHays Procurement are excited to be working with a recognised manufacturing organisation, looking to recruit an experienced Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist on a full-time, permanent basis. As the Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for the seamless coordination of operational procurement and supply chain activities to ensure optimal material availability for our production line.

You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the supply chain to resolve issues and blocking points, all with the focus of ensuring on time in full delivery of materials. Monitoring and managing the materials supply chain by interrogating data to identify risks to the production flow of the factory, mitigating and / or escalating as required.As Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist, you would be the first escalation level for the Purchasing team in the event of issues relating to order fulfilment. Working alongside the wider logistics and procurement teams, maintaining an awareness of external impacts and production demand concerns, working to help find solutions to the benefit of all.

What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate will have an understanding of cross border procurement activities at the operational level, with an awareness of wider issues and impacts on the materials supply chain that could prevent on-time in-full deliveries.You will be adept at problem-solving and able to work through complex supply chain topics with exceptional communication skills. It is essential to be an advanced Excel user, comfortable producing and analysing large amounts of data, experience in using SAP would also be highly advantageous.
