BW is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shift Electrician to join an in-house maintenance team, based at a large, prestigious static site in Edinburgh. This role offers a diverse schedule, rotating between days, back shifts, and nights, with generous time off in between.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on all electrical systems and assets across the site.
- Diagnose faults, source parts, and complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
- Support backlog maintenance tasks and assist with specialist projects where required.
- Ensure the safe and continuous operation of all mechanical and electrical engineering services and building plant.
- Collaborate with the Electrical Supervisor, subcontractors, and the wider M&E team to deliver maintenance services to the highest standards.
- Perform other M&E-related tasks as required to support the overall maintenance team.
- Completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship with proven experience in a similar role.
- Holds a valid JIB card and 18th Edition certification.
- Competent in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting building service systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with the type of electrical systems found in large commercial environments.
- Technical knowledge and experience to work safely and effectively without presenting danger to yourself or others.
- Basic first aid and CPR training (or willingness to complete training upon hire).
- Desirable but not essential: Knowledge of Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) and experience working within Permit to Work procedures (e.g., SHTM 06-01, BSRIA, L8, Pressure Systems Regulations 2000).
- Must be able to obtain a Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate.
- Base Salary: Up to £35,000, plus an £886 monthly shift allowance (equating to over £42,000 per year).
