Our client, a leading architectural metalwork specialist, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects across the UK and Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company known for their comprehensive range of high-quality architectural gratings, louvred panels, flooring, and fencing.

Position Overview

As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing contracts from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered to specification, on time, and within budget. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain the company's reputation for excellence in service, support, and product quality.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple contracts ranging in value from £1,000 to £250,000
  • Administer contracts from inception to completion
  • Ensure delivery to specification, program, and within contract price
  • Programme sub-contractors to meet project timelines
  • Deliver contracts on time and to budget
  • Maintain quality control standards
  • Liaise with customers to understand their requirements
  • Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers
  • Order materials and manage inventory
  • Conduct snagging inspections
  • Visit customers and suppliers in the UK and Europe
Requirements
  • Background in engineering, project management, or construction industry
  • Exceptional experience or degree in engineering or construction-related discipline
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience resolving issues with products and suppliers
  • Proficiency in instructing and checking fabrication drawings
  • Ability to read technical drawings and take site measurements
  • Competence in using database and Windows IT systems (Outlook, Word, Excel)
