Contract assignment for an experienced Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) Project Manager to be responsible for the timely and effective delivery of projects on the ESG Value Stream to meet the requirements of the business stakeholders and enable the Global Organisation to Progress ambition. The role has specific accountability for evaluating demand against available resourcing, managing portfolio spend in line with the Value Stream budget, and ensuring best practice delivery processes are embedded.

Accountabilities:

  • Own end to end project delivery: Inspire and lead the team to deliver against the plan and timelines. Create collaboration across diverse team members with different individual styles and backgrounds. Hold project team and stakeholders to account.
  • Deliver business outcomes: Work with Head of ESG, ESG Programme Manager and key business stakeholders to ensure delivery plans can drive business outcomes required and how they feed into external disclosures - and adapt when necessary. Accountable for clear and informative updates on the delivery progress of the Value Stream to senior stakeholders. Managing a team of internal resource.
  • Financial Management: Closely manage and monitor spend across the projects under the Value Stream to ensure adherence to portfolio budget. This role is accountable for end-to- end project financial planning and management.
  • Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Anticipate risks and issues, use problem solving and collaboration skills to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
  • Rigorous governance: Implement and manage a robust project governance model and use it to drive decisions, outcomes, engagement and management of stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Understanding of ESG strategies and challenges (particularly in Supply Chain) in large, global organisations.
  • Previous experience in delivery of ESG data and reporting programs
  • Ability to create, foster and maintain great relationships across both the project delivery teams and the business leads and sponsors.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Excellent Prioritisation skill
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, cost analysis, and forecasting.
  • A working understanding of PlanView, SAP and PMO/GDBS Project Finance ways of working
  • Proven experience in senior level program management, with a focus on delivery and execution
  • Working understanding of Traditional/Waterfall and Agile project delivery methodologies.
  • People management experience, with the ability to effectively lead and develop geographically dispersed teams
