Our client is a major Contractor who now have a solid project portfolio in and around Edinburgh which will be delivered over the next 4-6 years.
The projects include a range of Commercial Building and Healthcare Schemes which have been designed by a highly experienced Design team of Architects and Engineers.
To support the existing Commercial management team on a high profile circa £80M Project in Edinburgh city centre, they now require a Graduate Quantity Surveyor / ideally with 3-5 years experience in a Main Contracting background to support the post contract delivery phase this complex scheme.
The successful Quantity Surveyor candidate will have the following experience and abilities:-
Minimum of 3-5 years with a commercial Building Contracting environment in a Quantity Surveying role
Degree Qualified or equivalent Quantity Surveyor with some post graduation experience in a Main Contracting environment
Experience of Commercial Design and Build Schemes desirable
Ability to effectively manage Change Management and Interim payments
Experience of a range of Contractual forms and agreements
Ability to relate well to internal colleagues and external clients and subcontractors
Commercial awareness to minimise risk to margin
The ability to manage works packages on project upwards of circa £5M
The role will be on a permanent basis and will suit a Quantity Surveyor who is ambitious and looking to progress their career within this dynamic and supportive organisation.
