Job Overview
We are seeking to add a dynamic and experienced supervisor to our team. Someone to help with operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, with a focus on wine and/or whisky knowledge, as well as excellent supervisory skills. You will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining high standards of service, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily bar and restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality customer experiences.
  • Train and manage bar staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork.
  • Oversee the preparation of food items in accordance with food safety standards, ensuring all culinary practices meet health regulations.
  • Develop and implement menus that reflect current trends while catering to customer preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels of beverages and food supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role or similar hospitality position is essential.
  • Some knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in supervising staff within a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
  • A knowledge of either whisky or wine is required. WSET Level 2 would be ideal, but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding hospitality are crucial for success in this role.
