Salary: up to £36k + Bonuses + Benefits

We are recruiting an experienced Deputy General Manager to assist in the leadership of a stylish and cutting-edge city centre Bar and Restaurant operation. This is a high-volume site, catering for a busy restaurant / food led day trade and a popular night time late night cocktail venue.

The successful candidate will join an established brand who have venues across the UK, with excellent support, company benefits and bonus packages.

We are looking for someone from a busy bar / restaurant operation who has strong operational management skills and is very team and people focused.

You will also have management experience in a process driven business, and be used to working with in house systems, including stock taking and management of labour costs and GPs.

The role:

  • Training and development of a large team to deliver exceptional service and standards across both the food and drinks service
  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the Bar and Restaurant, ensuring smooth service at all times
  • Working to labour and cost controls, usage of inhouse systems / processes.
  • Maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, with a strong understanding of the atmosphere triangle to create a fantastic atmosphere for guests
  • Managing financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and cost controls

The candidate:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant / or Deputy General Manager in a Bar and Restaurant operation is essential.
  • A people person, with a passion for training and development of teams to achieve excellent guest service and standards
  • An understanding of systems, financials, and cost controls.
