Job Title: HGV Technician with Class 1 Licence

Location:Llanelli

Salary: 16.00 - 18.00 per hour (increasing to 16.50 - 18.50 per hour after probation)

Shifts:

Early Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Late Shift: 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Every other Saturday: Paid at overtime rate
30-minute unpaid break included in shifts

Salary Breakdown:

Starting at 16.00 per hour: 33,269.76 annually
Plus, 3,120.00 for 26 Saturdays at the overtime rate
Total: 36,389.76 per year, paid monthly on the 25th

Role Overview: Wilson Recruitment are looking for seeking an experienced HGV Technician with a Class 1 Licence.The ideal candidate will have dealership experience and a strong technical background. This role involves maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs.
Work within a shift rotation, including early, late, and Saturday shifts.
Participate in the breakdown assistance van rotation once technical requirements and assessments are completed.

Breakdown Assistance Technician Rota:

350.00 per week standby (Monday to the following Monday)
30.00 per call-out outside of shift hours
Call-outs from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Monday to Friday) paid at time and a half
Call-outs from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM (Monday to Friday) paid at double time
Saturday call-outs from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM paid at double time; 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM paid at time and a half
Call-outs from Saturday 2:00 PM until Monday 6:00 AM paid at double time

Requirements:

Valid Class 1 Licence
HGV Technician experience, preferably within a dealership environment
Strong technical skills and attention to detail
Willingness to work on a rotating shift pattern and participate in the breakdown assistance rota
