The Management Account is responsible for preparing financial reports for the senior management team which provide insight into the performance of the business. Ensuring that relevant financial analysis is communicated to assist the business profitability and growth, this is a key role within the finance team assisting the Head of Finance with the successful advancement of STS Defence as it continues to grow.

Duties:

Manage period end close activities in accordance with agreed timescales
Production of management accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
Maintenance of Balance Sheet Control Account Reconciliation
Analysis and review of overheads providing commentary for senior management
Manage the annual Budget process
Assist with Group reporting on Cognos
Contribute to improving reporting and controlling processes

Skills:

Advanced Excel skills
Data Management with strong analytical and problem solving skills
AAT or CIMA qualified
Be able to work as part of a team but also take ownership to complete tasks independently
Excellent communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders
Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work in a fast paced environment
Bring a positive, enthusiastic and can-do attitude to work

Additional
Hold a full and clean UK drivers licence with the ability to travel across the UK as necessary
SECURITY Must ideally either hold at least current UK SC Clearance or be capable of achieving clearance within a reasonable timeframe. Higher clearance is likely to be needed over time.
