- Deliver training in electrical and electronic engineering principles according to established training plans and operating procedures.
- Maintain and update training documentation to reflect current standards and practices.
- Assess trainees' coursework, providing constructive feedback on their performance.
- Ensure trainees' welfare and duty of care throughout training delivery.
- Perform maintenance on training equipment within the scope of qualifications and experience.
- Adhere to security, health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
- Level 4 Teaching Qualification or equivalent (e.g., Defence Train the Trainer Course).
- Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Proficiency with IT systems and tools in the workplace.
- Experience teaching electrical theory, electrical safety, power distribution, high voltage systems, electrical maintenance, and related disciplines.
- Previous instructional experience within the last five years, ideally in marine electrical and electronic systems.
- Familiarity with course development for technical training.
- Hands-on experience in electrical and electronic engineering principles within the past five years.
- Knowledge of marine systems, including power distribution, electrical test equipment, and high voltage systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, trainees, and stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities that foster accountability, team motivation, and a culture of continuous improvement.
