Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Social Sciences to join a reputable college in Gosport. This long-term position offers the opportunity for a temp-to-perm arrangement, providing job stability and growth within the role.



Position Details

  • Subjects: Level 3 Criminology, A-Level Sociology, and Access to HE
  • Contract Type: Long-term, with the potential for a permanent position (temp-to-perm)
  • Pay Rate: 162 to 224 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications
  • Start Date: Immediate or upon availability
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Criminology, Sociology, and Access to HE.
  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team to enhance the curriculum and teaching practices.


Requirements

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Social Sciences at Level 3 or higher.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year).
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Right to Work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the online update service (or willingness to apply for one).
