Ward Manager / Senior Mental Health Nurse ( RMN )
Salary - £44,375 - £50,329 per annum
Location - Portsmouth
Hours – Permanent, Full Time 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern – 09:00 -5:00, with one day being 07:00 – 7:30 (can be discussed at interview)
Summary
Appoint Healthcare are proud to partner with an extremely reputable leading national provider of mental health services for males with mental health needs and learning disabilities. Together we are seeking a Ward Manager - Senior Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) for their male high dependency, mental health hospital based in Portsmouth.
As a qualified Ward Manager / Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ), you will ensure males in this high dependency, mental health hospital receive high-quality care, while also leading your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork. Caring for conditions including psychosis, bipolar disorder, self-harm, substance misuse and sexual offending.
Providing community – focused rehabilitation services within a full care pathway, working across two wards.
Requirements
- A relevant nursing qualification - Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN )
- A valid NMC registration with no restrictions
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- A minimum of two years of mental health / acute / PICU / forensic / low - high secure / rehabilitation / Inpatient / NHS or private experience ( working as a nurse )
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and be a role model to others to join a highly motivated and enthusiastic team
- Providing direct management supervision to two deputy ward managers, a significant part of this role is leading the team and managing the running of the wards.
- Planning, overseeing and co-ordinating the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment
- Responsible for staffing, rota management and ensuring the ward complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards.
