Role Responsibilities:

Classroom Teaching

  • Deliver excellent Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Develop engaging and challenging schemes of work
  • Implement effective teaching strategies to support all learners
  • Assess and track student progress systematically
  • Provide high-quality feedback to support student achievement
  • Maintain excellent classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment
  • Departmental Duties (2nd in Department)

  • Support the Head of Mathematics in curriculum development
  • Contribute to departmental improvement planning
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating teaching and learning
  • Lead specific curriculum areas or year group provision
  • Support staff professional development
  • Participate in data analysis and intervention strategies
  • Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) achieved or working towards, or equivalent
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject area and strong Mathematics subject knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to student progress and educational excellence
  • Ability to use data to inform teaching and learning
  • Applicants must be currently resident in the UK
  • Desirable Qualities

  • Experience of curriculum leadership
  • Evidence of raising student attainment
  • Willingness to contribute to wider school activities
