Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking an experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support pupils within a local primary school with their learning journeys. This is set to start as soon as possible, and is an ongoing, temporary position.

The school is a small primary school located within the heart of Gosport, where they facilitate excellent learning opportunities for pupils to dive in to learning and set sail for success! The school empower their pupils to become responsible, respectful individuals and offer a wonderful setting for pupils and staff to thrive.

As the Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Be a patient, passionate and resilient individual, ideally with experience working within a primary school setting
  • Have experience supporting Social, Emotional Mental Health in young people with a positive and patient manner - essential
  • Be available as soon as possible for five days per week on an ongoing basis
  • Be open to working with individuals and small groups, as well as happy to work as a teaching assistant – dependant on the needs on the day
  • Have an Enhanced DBS (Child) on the Update Service – or be willing to obtain one

The salary for this position is currently set between £80-95 per day. You will be paid on a weekly basis (the following Friday).
