Brake Press Operator/Sheet Metal Worker
Duties:
- Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal- Select and install the correct tooling for each job- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine the correct dimensions for bending- Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements- Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and cleaning- Use hand tools effectively to assist in the production process
Experience:- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in sheet metal fabrication- Proficiency in operating press brake machinery and selecting appropriate tooling- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and behaviours- Competency in using various measuring tools
